Co-produced by East Coast Artists and Colorado College, it is directed by Richard Schechner (formerly of The Performance Group). Previews begin December 3 at HERE with opening night slated for December 6.

Stifters Dinge, created by the innovative German composer/director Heiner Goebbels, is the latest of his works to stretch the boundaries of live performance. The 70-minute-long sonic performance landscape was inspired by the writings of 19th-century Austrian romantic novelist Adalbert Stifter extended and minutely-detailed descriptions of nature. The title translates as 'Stifters Things.'

Accidental Repertory Theater Opens Season with BRECHT ON BRECHT, 10/29

John Strasberg, founder and Artistic Director of the Accidental Repertory Theater, has announced that the company will present as its first public production, the international classic 'BRECHT ON BRECHT,' adapted and translated by George Tabori, and directed by Mr. Strasberg. Ross Patterson will serve as Musical Director for the production. Performances of 'BRECHT ON BRECHT' will begin on Thursday, October 29, and the official opening night will be Sunday, November 1 at 7:30 p.m. Accidental Repertory Theater is located at 555 Eighth Avenue, Suite 403 (between 37th and 38th Streets). The run will continue for four weeks through Saturday, November 21.

Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings series will feature Eric Bogosian, Michael Emerson and more. The series began readings on September 14th and will continue the series through June 14, 2010. The series is meant to rediscover neglected classics, and to develop new plays of heightened language and classical themes.

The Public Theater, Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori will produce COURAGE IN CONCERT, a one-night-only benefit concert reuniting Kevin Kline, Jenifer Lewis, Austin Pendleton, Meryl Streep and Frederick Weller for an evening of songs from the Public Theater?s 2006 Shakespeare in the Park production of Brecht?s masterpiece, Mother Courage and Her Children. Translated by Tony Kushner with music by Jeanine Tesori and originally directed by George C. Wolfe, COURAGE IN CONCERT will be performed at the Public Theater on Monday, October 19 at 8:00 PM with all proceeds benefiting American Jewish World Service and Partners In Health. The cast of HAIR along with special guests will complete the evening. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, September 17.
