Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (Scandal) directs the Los Angeles premiere of a riveting drama by Keith Huff (Mad Men, House of Cards) that will have audiences on the edge of their seats. Featuring guest actors from the Broadway and off-Broadway stage, each event is the culminating reading of an extensive libretto workshop conducted for new operas being written by ALT Resident Artists under the auspices of the company's Composer Librettist Development Program.

Beth Morrison Projects (BMP) and HERE have announced programming for the second annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now festival, running January 8-18, 2014.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of the acclaimed epic musical GIANTonline and in stores on May 21, 2013. Performance Network Theatre is proud to present three community discussions on Monday, May 13 at 6pm, Sunday, May 19 at 4:30pm, and Sunday, June 2 at 4:30pm regarding "The Mountaintop," by Katori Hall - the current Performance Network production that is an imagined portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s last night on earth. The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that the cast of the acclaimed epic musical GIANT will enter the recording studio in January to create an original cast album, which will be released by Ghostlight Records in spring 2013. GIANT officially opened at The Public on November 15 and features a book by Sybille Pearson, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, and direction by Michael Greif. The show will end its limited run at The Public Theater at Astor Place on Sunday, December 16 following a final two-week extension.
