In the tradition of past productions including Lend Me A Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, the Saint Sebastian Players (SSP) opens its 30th Anniversary Season with the farce Cash on Delivery by Michael Cooney-featuring a special 'cash-back guarantee.' Performances are October 22-November 14, 2010 at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, in Chicago.

The American Conservatory Theater Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program presents Anton Chekhov's masterpiece The Three Sisters, translated by Carol Rocamora and directed by Shakespeare Santa Cruz Artistic Director Marco Barricelli, a longtime member of the A.C.T. artistic family. Barricelli was a core acting company member at A.C.T. for more than a decade and most recently received favorable notices for his appearance in last season's Vigil at A.C.T. alongside Olympia Dukakis. One of Chekhov's most popular and accessible plays, The Three Sisters explores the decay of Russia's privileged class in the haunting story of the Prozorov family. Trapped in a small provincial town with few prospects, the sisters dream of returning to urban Moscow. Along with facilitating smaller class sizes, the appointment of a full-time faculty, and extended opportunities for financial aid, the new curriculum of the three-year A.C.T. M.F.A. Program (launched last season with the incoming class of 2012) creates opportunities for collaboration among the three classes in their education and performance; The Three Sisters features members of the A.C.T. M.F.A. Program classes of 2011 and 2012. The Three Sisters runs October 13-23, 2010, at Hastings Studio Theater (77 Geary Street, San Francisco). According to and article by Benjamin Sutton in The L Magazine, the Theatre Communications Group, has revealed which playwrights have the most works to be produced this season in the United States. In the top slot is Patrick Barlow who adapted Hitchcock's hilarious 1935 film, THE 39 STEPS.

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs announces its 2011 winter/spring season of events at the Chicago DCA Theaters-the Storefront Theater, located at 66 E. Randolph Street, and the Studio Theater in the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street.

Barry Ingham has appeared on both the West End and Broadway starring in such classics as The Magistrate and Tartuffe and original productions of Aspects of Love and Jekyll & Hyde. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Mr. Ingham appeared in several productions including Julius Caesar, Twelfth Night, and Winter's Tale. He was professor at the University of Texas at Austin, theatre consultant to Baylor University and is artistic advisor to the Shakespeare Society of New York.

The award-winning Desert Rose Theatre triumphantly returns to Mesa this fall with a duet of one-act plays inspired by William Shakespeare and directed by DRT founder, Katherine Stewart. The collection is being called ‘Shakespeare in Shorts' and features George Bernard Shaw's witty ‘Dark Lady of the Sonnets' and the totally irreverent ‘Roadhouse in Arden' by Philip Moeller.

Linda Griffiths' play 'Age of Arousal', directed by Jackie Maxwell, opens at the Canadian Shaw Festival's Court House Theatre on August 13. Previews for the play started on July 23. The play is booked until October 10.

West Palm Beach's Palm Beach Dramaworks, will launch its 11th Anniversary Season with 'Candida,' the acclaimed play by the Nobel Prize winning playwright George Bernard Shaw on Friday, October 8th (8PM) at their downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard.) Special priced preview performances are slated for October 6th & 7th (8PM) and the production will play through November 21st.

West Palm Beach's only resident professional theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks will kick off its 11th Anniversary season with George Bernard Shaw's play 'Candida' on Friday, October 8th (8PM) at their intimate downtown theatre (322 Banyan Boulevard).
