Pittsburgh CLO Sets 2015 Summer Season Creative Team

Pittsburgh CLO is pleased to announce the creative team for the ?2015 Summer Season at the Benedum Center. These Pittsburgh CLO veterans will bring Broadway's best to life at the Benedum Center all summer long. The 2015 Season includes MARY POPPINS (June 9 - 21), MAN OF LA MANCHA (June 23 - 28), GYPSY (July 10 - 19), THE WEDDING SINGER (July 24 - August 2) and the National Tours of KINKY BOOTS (August 4 - 9) and Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA (August 11 - 16).

Dixon Place to Present THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, Begin. 2/7

Dixon Place's new production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, will begin previews Saturday, February 7th, and open on Sunday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM. Based on his best-selling novel, the show features critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated and award-winning storyteller James Lecesne, who portrays the life and characters of a Jersey Shore town where a young boy goes missing. The play is directed by Tony Speciale, with visuals by Matthew Sandager and incidental music by Duncan Sheik, some of which will be released in his new record "Legerdemain" in April 2015. THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY will run through March 28th at Dixon Place (161 Chrystie Street). The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2014 (Dec. 1, 2013 - Nov. 30, 2014). The 46th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Beyond the Stars Palace, 417 N. Brand Boulevard in Glendale.

On the heels of the 16-time Grammy Award winner's sold-out, standing-room-only debut performance on Tuesday night, December 9, Sting's engagement in The Last Ship on Broadway has been extended through January 24, 2015, the musical's producers Jeffrey Seller and Kathryn Schenker announced. Originally scheduled to perform with the cast for five weeks, Sting will now appear for an additional two weeks in the role of Jackie White in The Last Ship at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.). His friend Barry Manilow just attended the musical and you can check out photos from backstage below!
