Pittsburgh CLO is pleased to announce the creative team for the ?2015 Summer Season at the Benedum Center. These Pittsburgh CLO veterans will bring Broadway's best to life at the Benedum Center all summer long. The 2015 Season includes MARY POPPINS (June 9 - 21), MAN OF LA MANCHA (June 23 - 28), GYPSY (July 10 - 19), THE WEDDING SINGER (July 24 - August 2) and the National Tours of KINKY BOOTS (August 4 - 9) and Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA (August 11 - 16).

Dixon Place's new production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, will begin previews Saturday, February 7th, and open on Sunday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM. Based on his best-selling novel, the show features critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated and award-winning storyteller James Lecesne, who portrays the life and characters of a Jersey Shore town where a young boy goes missing. The play is directed by Tony Speciale, with visuals by Matthew Sandager and incidental music by Duncan Sheik, some of which will be released in his new record "Legerdemain" in April 2015. THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY will run through March 28th at Dixon Place (161 Chrystie Street). The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2014 (Dec. 1, 2013 - Nov. 30, 2014). The 46th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Beyond the Stars Palace, 417 N. Brand Boulevard in Glendale.

This week marks the anniversary of the No. 1 debut of Barry Manilow's mega hit song, 'Mandy,' on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1975. The Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning musician's career skyrocketed to superstardom when the song topped the charts in 1975. The Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition continues to spotlight the best emerging playwrights with a full production for the competition winner and staged readings for four competition finalists. THE C.A. Lyons Project, the 11th competition winner, will premiere on the Hertz Stage February 13 - March 8, 2015. Opening night is February 18, 2015.

Nicole Scherzinger just made her West End stage debut as 'Grizabella' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats, and according to a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Webber has plans to bring the show (and his new star) to Broadway. He told DM: 'Cats will now definitely go to Broadway again. It's very exciting.'

According to the Daily Mail, Kerry Ellis is next in line to portray 'Grizabella' in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS at the London Palladium.

On the heels of the 16-time Grammy Award winner's sold-out, standing-room-only debut performance on Tuesday night, December 9, Sting's engagement in The Last Ship on Broadway has been extended through January 24, 2015, the musical's producers Jeffrey Seller and Kathryn Schenker announced. Originally scheduled to perform with the cast for five weeks, Sting will now appear for an additional two weeks in the role of Jackie White in The Last Ship at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.).
