The first public presentation of Wilson's new show, called YES! THE MUSICAL, will be given a single showcase salon performance on Monday, March 5, at 8 PM -- one year and one day later from the day he started it -- at the Rose Nagelberg Theater at the Baruch Performing Arts Center on 25th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue. The production, with book, music and lyrics by Wilson, is being presented by The Theater at the Duke Ellington Center For The Arts, with Mercedes Ellington as director- choreographer.

SFJAZZ Collective Explores the Music of Stevie Wonder, 3/23-34

Following explorations of such jazz masters as Coltrane, Hancock, Monk and Tyner, the adventurous SFJAZZ Collective now sets its sights on the music of the one-and-only Stevie Wonder for its visit to Segerstrom Center's Jazz Series March 23 and 24 in Samueli Theater. The SFJAZZ Collective will perform timeless hits by Wonder including "Superstition," "Sir Duke," "My Cherie Amour," "Visions," "Blame it on the Sun" and "Do I Do" as well as all-new original compositions by Collective members. The ensemble's roster includes tenor saxophonist Mark Turner, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, trombonist Robin Eubanks, pianist Edward Simon, bassist Matt Penman and drummer Eric Harland. Alto saxophonist Antonio Hart will substitute for original Collective member Miguel Zenon who is on paternity leave. A free Preview Talk with Bubba Jackson, host of Jazz at Six on KKJZ-FM, will take place before the first performance on March 23 at 6:30 p.m. in Samueli Theater.

Star Jones to Make Return Appearance on ABC's THE VIEW, 2/22

Star Jones, one of the five original co-hosts of ABC's Emmy Award-winning talk show THE VIEW will make her first guest appearance, live, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET). Jones last appeared on June 27, 2006 when she announced nationally, while grabbing hold of Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck's hands, that 'after much prayer and counsel' she would not be returning to the program.
