Following the recent sold out run at The Lion Theatre of AnTony Raymond's ELSINORE COUNTY, Daniel Neiden will present Raymond's new dark comedy, LUSTYNESS: PLAYS ABOUT THIS GUY NAMED LOU. Performances will begin tonight, January 3rd, running through Sunday, January 12 at Under St. Marks Theatre (94 St. Marks Place).

New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) has announced the NY Premiere of five short plays by Richard Wentz under the collective title, Night of the Working Dead. The production runs for five performances only, opening Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 7:30pm, and closing Sunday, January 19th Performances will be at New Perspectives Studio, 458 West 37 Street at 10th Avenue.

The Nora Theatre Company will present Terry Johnson's Insignificance from January 9 - February 9, 2014. Insignificance is directed by Daniel Gidron. The press performance for Insignificance is Monday, January 13 at 7:30PM.

Casting is complete for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of Russian Transport by Erika Sheffer. Ensemble member Yasen Peyankov directs a cast of five featuring ensemble members Tim Hopper, Mariann Mayberry and Alan Wilder with Aaron Himelstein and Melanie Neilan. This 'thoughtful, well-written domestic drama with something original to say about immigrant families living by old world values in a new world culture' (Variety) received its world-premiere production Off-Broadway at The New Group in 2012. Russian Transport begins previews February 6, 2014 (opening night is February 16; press performances are February 15 at 3pm and February 18 at 7:30pm) and runs through May 11, 2014 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St). Oberon Theatre Ensemble will present 'TOAST, BOAST, OR ROAST - A Tribute to Austin Pendleton' - the company's annual benefit on Monday, January 13 at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan, doors open at 7:30pm and the tribute is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm.

The fourth annual United Solo Theatre Festival concluded its run on November 24, 2013 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City. An awards ceremony was held that night, following the eight-week-long lineup of the world's largest solo theatre festival, which offered more than 120 productions this season.

The Old Globe presents The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, running tonight, Nov. 9 - Nov. 17 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is tonight, Nov. 9 at 8:00 p.m.

In celebration of its fourth season, Sanguine Theatre Company will produce EXIT 27, a new work by award-winning playwright, Aleks Merilo and directed by Mark Karafin.
