CLYBOURNE PARK to Launch 'Raisin Cycle' at CENTERSTAGE, 4/10

CENTERSTAGE announces the Baltimore Premiere of Bruce Norris' highly acclaimed Clybourne Park, the first of two landmark plays slated to run in rotating repertory this spring as The Raisin Cycle. The Baltimore Premiere of Clybourne Park begins previews April 10, and the World Premiere of CENTERSTAGE Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah's Beneatha's Place begins May 8.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 14 categories and two additional special awards for the 2013 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST, and hosted by acclaimed stage and screen actors Aasif Mandvi and Maura Tierney. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

Court Theatre Announces Upcoming Season

Court Theatre has announced its 2013/14 season under the continuing leadership of Artistic Director Charles Newell, Executive Director Stephen J. Albert, and Board Chair Marilyn Fatt Vitale. The company's 59th season will feature the Chicago Premiere of Katori Hall's The Mountaintop, directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson; the reprise of Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson's An Iliad directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell and featuring Timothy Edward Kane; August Wilson's Seven Guitars directed by Ron OJ Parson; and Quiara Alegria Hudes' Water by the Spoonful, directed by Henry Godinez in his Court Theatre debut. Newell will close the season with David Henry Hwang's Tony Award-winning M. Butterfly.

Marin Theatre Company Announces 2013-14 Season

Marin Theatre Company's artistic director Jasson Minadakis and managing director Michael Barker announced the company's 2013-14 season today. Featuring six productions in MTC's intimate 231-seat Boyer Theatre, the season includes the regional premiere of David Lindsay-Abaire's national sensation Good People; a revival of August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play Fences;world premieres of I and You by Bay Area-based playwright Lauren Gunderson and Lasso of Truth, which MTC commissioned from Carson Kreitzer with the support of the National New Play Network; the west coast premiere of Philip Dawkins' "whimsical beyond all imagining" Failure: A Love Story; and a unique holiday production of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol by Tom Mula. Based in Mill Valley, MTC is a 47-year old professional nonprofit theater, a destination for exhilarating performances, inspired new American plays and powerful theatrical experiences.

NEW DRAMATISTS, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premiere playwright development workshop, has announced that they will honor entertainment lawyer and New Dramatists Chairman of the Board Seth Gelblum with their 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 64th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, to be held Tuesday, May 21 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Among those performing tributes will be Tony Award nominee Keith Carradine (Hands on a Hardbody, The Will Rogers Follies) and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change; Jelly's Last Jam). The event co-chairs are Roger Berlind, Roy Furman, and Barry and Fran Weissler.

South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey concludes its eighth season titled "Home in Waterfront South" with a three week production of RADIO GOLF opening April 19, 20013 at 8p.m. Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner August Wilson and directed by Connie Norwood. RADIO GOLF is the final play in his ten-play Pittsburgh cycle. Set in the late 1990's the play is Wilson's closing reflection on a decade-by-decade historic depiction of the African-American experience as an entrepreneur aspires to become the city's first African-American mayor. RADIO GOLF stars Kim E. Brown, Tiffany R. Barrett, Andre N. Jones, Damien J. Wallace and Roderick Slocum.
