Luna Stage presents a special presentation of American Moor, written and performed by Keith Hamilton Cobb. In this 90 minute solo play, Mr. Cobb, best known for his starring roles on All My Children, The Young and the Restless and Andromeda, asks the questions 'What is the role of a lifetime?' and more importantly, 'What is the role of a life?' as he explores Shakespeare's Othello, race, and America... and not necessarily in that order. American Moor is directed by Paul Kwame Johnson.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) just announced the U.S. premiere of the new musical, AMERICAN PSYCHO, featuring a book by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (2ST's Good Boys and True, 'Glee,' Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark), music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony-Award Winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), directed by Rupert Goold (Broadway's Macbeth with Patrick Stewart, ENRON). AMERICAN PSYCHO is based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis.

Multi Ethnic Theater, in association with Custom Made Theatre, will present August Wilson's Jitney, August 7-31, at Gough Street Playhouse, 1620 Gough Street in San Francisco. Jitney is directed by Lewis Campbell, founder and artistic director of Multi Ethnic Theater. The play concerns a group of working class men who offer gypsy cab rides to and from African American communities where city cabs refuse to go.

The OBIE Award-winning Theater:Village festival, which is presented by Axis Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, New Ohio Theatre, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, returns for its second year, September 4 - October 5. Following last year's The Hill Town Plays, which presented five works by the playwright Lucy Thurber, this year's festival, titled E Pluribus, will feature four new plays celebrating the diversity of America.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the line-up for its summer Gallery Crawl taking place tonight, July 11, 2014, from 5:30-10 p.m. The crawl showcases a wide variety of thought-provoking art exhibitions in downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District. Live bands, DJs, dance, comedy, film, and participatory activities are also part of the complimentary crawl events.

William Shakespeare's famed star-crossed lovers bare their passion Uptown this summer as The Classical Theatre of Harlem (Ty Jones, producing artistic director; David Roberts, managing director) presents Romeo n Juliet at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Justin Emeka, who edited and adapted the tragedy to bring the colorful characters of Harlem to life, returns for the second year in a row as director. Mr. Norton and Mrs. Hope will serve 3 year terms effective immediately. Actor and director Ruben Santiago-Hudson (The Piano Lesson, August Wilson's How I Learned What I Learned) and Richard Willett, the Vice President and General Manager of East Hampton's Wines by Morrell, will also be joining the Board of Trustees.
