On Monday, June 16th the Theater People Podcast welcomes 'If/Then' and 'Rent' star Anthony Rapp. Topics discussed include Rapp's two year journey helping to bring 'If/Then' to the Broadway stage (he's been with the show since even before the workshop phase), collaborating with the show's creators Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt to create the character of Lucas, and reuniting with friend and 'Rent' co-star Idina Menzel (he has high praise for her work ethic, talent, and ability to maintain her status as one of Broadway's few 'marquee names').

Actors' Equity Association ("AEA" or Equity) today announced that Beautiful - The Carole King Musical will receive the eighth annual "ACCA" Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.

Golden Globe and Tony Award-winning actor Hugh Jackman returned last night to host THE 68TH ANNUAL TONY® AWARDS, broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on the CBS Television Network. Two legends came together today with BroadwayWorld.com in honor of this Sunday's Tony Awards. Rosie O'Donnell (while en route to Parker's graduation), who will be receiving the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award and Grammy, Tony, Emmy award-winner Cyndi Lauper chatted by phone (while on tour with Cher) about the Tonys, Rosie's Theatre Kids, her theatrical favorites, and of course about LAST year's big winner - KINKY BOOTS! The Isabelle Stevenson Award is presented annually to a member of the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations. If that doesn't describe Rosie, we don't know what does. O'Donnell will be presented with the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award for her commitment to arts education for New York City's public school children.
