Tony Award-nominee Andrew Rannells will reign as King George October 27 to November 29 in Hamilton on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St). Mr. Rannells steps into the role while Tony Award-nominee Jonathan Groff - who joined the cast last spring at The Public Theater - takes a pre-negotiated one-month leave to film HBO's 'Looking' movie. Groff returns to the Hamilton stage on December 1.

DC Foundation is pleased to announce that Andrew Rannells will host the "Mr. Abbott" Award Gala honoring James Lapine on Monday, October 19, 2015. The event will include special performances by Bernadette Peters, Christine Ebersole, Christian Borle, and Marin Mazzie with appearances by Stephen Sondheim, William Finn, and others. Directed by Leigh Silverman, the "Mr. Abbott" Award Gala will take place at Stage 48 (605 West 48th Street). The event will begin at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, September 24th, the National YoungArtsFoundation (YoungArts) kicked off their 2015-2016 season with the second annual YoungArts Awareness Day, a national campaign to encourage young artists to pursue their dreams of becoming professional artists and to show that #becauseofyoungarts, artists ages 15 to 18 years are able to take the next steps toward achieving their goals and building a strong professional network including award-winning and acclaimed alumni. The National YoungArts Foundation today announces a dynamic roster of public programs for its 35th anniversary season encompassing a series of new performances, showcases, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary collaborations across a broad range of art forms-from the organization's first resident dance company Complexions Contemporary Ballet; and "Pairings at Ted's," a new dinner and performance series; to site-specific installations and public discussions with creative leaders such as Daniel Arsham, Franklin Sirmans and Fab 5 Freddy. For some reason that I have yet to understand, there is apparently a considerable segment of the population that doesn't care for Anne Hathaway. I wouldn't consider myself a marked Hathaway fan, but after seeing THE INTERN, I challenge each and every one of the people that dislike her to see the movie and not walk out wishing that she was their boss/best friend.
