On Monday night, March 20, Theatre Development Fund (TDF) presented the first of two evenings entitled PERFORMETERIA. PERFORMETERIA is TDF's first-ever immersive festival featured works from some of the most innovative Off-Off Broadway theatre and dance companies in New York City through its OffOff@$9 Program. Co-presented with Baruch PAC, over 500 PERFORMETERIA attendees travelled through multiple levels of theatres, nooks, and hidden venues to experience short original pieces by the participating companies. On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

A 12-­part play that blends dark comedy, music, political drama, and fantasy, Volcano Town tells the epic story of Zoar, PA, a corrupt mining town full of mystery that may or may not be on the verge of being destroyed by a giant volcano.

Man Down Productions reunites director, Andrew Block (Ovation Award, Small Engine Repair) and playwright Mark Jason Williams for the 19th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, with award-winning drama, Straight Faced Lies. A highlighted production of the festival, Straight Faced Lies will play at The Teatro LATEA at the Clemente (107 Suffolk St) beginning tonight, August 14 - Thursday, August 27, 2015. Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, the country's premier socially-conscious, eco-friendly arts festival, is proud to announce its seventh season of plays, musicals & staged readings, with all shows taking place at The Paradise Factory, 64 East 4th St, between 2nd Avenue & Bowery.

A reading of Mark Jason Williams' Straight Faced Lies will be presented on June 16 at 7 p.m. The reading will take place at the TADA Theater, 15 West 28th Street, in New York City. Reservations are not required.

This summer, an award winning quartet of playwrights, Tony Glazer (In The Daylights, Film: Junction), John Pollono (Small Engine Repair, Lost and Found), Robin Rothstein (The Game Boy, On Deaf Ears), and Mark Jason Williams (Straight Faced Lies, Recovery), will join together for a night of one acts entitled Why Bother? directed by Andrew Block. Why Bother? Is being presented by Man Down Productions as part of the Planet Connections Festival. It begins performances tonight, May 14 and runs through June 1 at the Paradise Factory.
