The New York Times reports that viewers of SESAME STREET will get their first look at 'Elmo the Musical,' a brand new segment on the long-running children's educational program.Featured in one of the installments will be five-time Tony award winner Audra McDonald who will sing 'Keep on Clucking' in the episode titled 'Circus the Musical.'

According to Deadline.com, Larry David has brought together a star-studded cast for his HBO movie Clear History. David will star in the film, which will also feature Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Eva Mendes, Amy Ryan, Bill Hader, Philip Baker Hall and JB Smoove.

Playwrights Horizons begins accepting entries today, Wednesday, August 15, for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to DETROIT, the New York premiere of the much-heralded new play by Obie Award winner Lisa D'Amour. Ms. D'Amour is both a 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist for this play and a 2011 Steinberg Playwright Award winner for her body of work. Berkshire Playwrights Lab announced that its staged reading of James DeMarse's new play, Existing Privilege, that was to be directed by Matthew Penn on August 8 will now take place on August 22, directed by Joe Cacaci, and with the new title, Ceasefire.

A Streetcar Named Desire starring Blair Underwood as Stanley, Nicole Ari Parker as Blanche, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella and Wood Harris as Mitch, began previews for its limited Broadway run at the Broadhurst Theatre on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, and celebrates its opening tonight, Sunday April 22, 2012. The production will run through July 22, 2012.
