11th Hour Theatre Company brings 2017 in with a rock 'n roll bang. Three years ago, 11th Hour Company introduced audiences to LIZZIE in its Next Step Concert Series.

Arden Theatre Company opens its 29th season with Aaron Posner's STUPID f**kING BIRD, 'sort of' adapted from Anton Checkov's The Seagull. Posner, an Arden co-founder and former Artistic Director who has directed nearly 40 productions for the company, also directs his show for the first time. STUPID f**kING BIRD runs September 15 through October 16, 2016, on the F. Otto Haas Stage at 40 N. 2nd Street in Philadelphia.

Arden Theatre Company announces Cabaret of Duets, a performance for Arden Drama School teens and local professional actors, on Monday, December 14 at 8pm. The performance takes place at the Arden's Hamilton Family Art Center at 62 N. 2nd Street in Old City, Philadelphia.

The award will be bestowed upon Composer and Lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who will accept the award at a ticketed ceremony and concert, which is a fundraising benefit for the Arden's extensive educational and outreach programs. Composer and Lyricist Jason Robert Brown will present Mr. Sondheim with the award.

The company is finalizing the World Premiere of Michael Ogborn's Field Hockey Hot - its first World Premiere and commission. This gender-bending field hockey musical will run tonight, March 5-22. Opening night is Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
