But the 32nd annual Inge Festival in 2013 changes pace: honoring its namesake American icon William Inge, to celebrate the centennial of his birth.

After weeks of speculation about its future prospects, the CW's 'Hart of Dixie" has been renewed for a second season, the network confirmed. The series about a New York doctor transplanted to the fictional small town of Bluebell, Alabama stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart and Jaime King as her romantic rival, Lemon Breeland. Actress Claudia Lee, who co-stars as Lemon's teen sister, Magnolia, was ecstatic about the show's renewal.

Featuring some of the collected theatre gem's of BroadwayWorld's own senior photographer Walter McBride, the series will feature images from his archives of theatre and Hollywood related gems. Today, we bring you MGM movie musical star Esther Williams circa 1985. After appearing in several small roles, alongside Mickey Rooney in an Andy Hardy film, and future five time co-star Van Johnson in A Guy Named Joe, Williams made a series of films in the 1940s and early 1950s known as 'aquamusicals', which featured elaborate performances with synchronized swimming and diving.In 1952, Williams appeared in her only biographical role, as Australian swimming star Annette Kellerman in Million Dollar Mermaid, which would go on to become her nickname while at MGM.
