San Jose Repertory Theatre, as part of its mission to enrich the creative life of the community, has co-commissioned a new work about the remarkable transformation of Santa Clara County from the "Valley of Heart's Delight" to the fast-paced urban center called Silicon Valley.

The Willows Theatre Company announces its 34th season with six mainstage productions running August 24, 2009 through May 30, 2010 at the Willows Theatre, 1975 Diamond Boulevard in Concord, CA. With a book by Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy (The Civil War), lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlett Pimpernel, The Civil War), and directed by Gregory Boyd, Wonderland begins previews Friday, January 15, opens officially Wednesday, January 20 and runs through Sunday, February 14.

Sergio Trujillo, the acclaimed choreographer of Jersey Boys, Next to Normal and the forthcoming musicals The Addams Family and Memphis, will make his directorial debut with Havana, a new musical (not based on the film of the same name) with a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning Cuban author Nilo Cruz, music by internationally-renowned Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Jack Murphy. Produced by Kathleen Raitt, William Franzblau/Jay Harris, Ben Sprecher/Louise Forlenza and Steven E. Leber/Jordan Leber, Havana, which is aiming for the 2010-11 Broadway season, will have a private industry presentation this week in New York.

Frank Wildhorn's new musical, WONDERLAND: Alice's New Musical Adventure is set to debut in Tampa late this year. WONDERLAND begins performances on November 24, 2009 at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
