Ucross's spring session is in full swing. From February 7 through June 3, 56 artists from a variety of disciplines will be in residence at the historic 20,000-acre ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming. 

Aqua Art Miami, a sister fair of Art Miami, marked an incredibly successful five-day event for their 14th edition at the Aqua Hotel (1530 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139), which took place Wednesday, December 5 through Sunday, December 9, 2018.

A Vessel for Carriage by Matty Davis and Ben Gould takes place on the deck of a Chicago River Cruise boat at dusk. This new project bridging performance, dance, and installation is specifically designed for an intimate audience, and is tuned to the boat, the moving water, and the distinctive bridges spanning the river artery that passes through the city. The artists have created the work as a response to evolving senses of the body-injury, trauma, healing, and growth. Both physically and sonically charged, the work radically explores control and response between the two performers, motored in part by the raw energy of Gould's Tourette Syndrome. Both audience and performers are awakened to real experiences of risk and trust in a setting that melds the built environment and the flow of the river over time.

Five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb (Maria Striar, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Bulger, Associate Artistic Director) is proud to announce the line-up for SUMMERWORKS, its annual series of new plays. Now in its 23rd season, SUMMERWORKS will run May 19 through June 30 at The Wild Project (195 E 3rd Street) in Manhattan, and will feature productions of three new plays: TIN CAT SHOES by Trish Harnetiaux and directed by Knud Adams; WILDER GONE by Angela Hanks; and PLANO by Will Arbery and directed by Taylor Reynolds.

 Norte Maar, a committed international think-tank dedicated to the creation, promotion, and presentation of collaborations in the disciplines of the visual, literary, and the performing arts, presents the Dance at Socrates choreographic and performance residency, August 3- 27. In it's third season, and in collaboration with Socrates Sculpture Park, this summer dance series brings New York-based choreographers and their dancers to the East River waterfront to develop a site-specific dance on a newly constructed stage within the park. This year's choreographers include Randy James (10 Hairy Legs Projects), Edisa Weeks (DELIRIOUS Dances), Christopher Rudd (RudduR Dance), Gierre Godley (Project 44), Laura Gemitti and Katharine Morales (L & K Dance), Meagan Woods, Julia K. Gleich (Gleich Dances), BOOMERANG, and Brynt Beitman.

Galapagos is a newly adapted theatrical performance by Tucker Marder & Christian Scheider based on the 1985 Kurt Vonnegut novel. Galapagos is the first fully staged theatrical production presented by the Parrish Art Museum in the 200-seat Lichtenstein Theater, and is endorsed by the Kurt Vonnegut Estate. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the full complement of programming scheduled to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The 10-day celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is unlike any other in the nation. The world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and is open to the public. Attracting over 400,000 visitors annually, the Festival begins on the first Friday in June and takes place at the confluence of Pittsburgh's famed three rivers in Point State Park, throughout picturesque Gateway Center, and in the city's world-renowned Cultural District.
