BLUEBARN Theatre will continue their 21st season with the h0liday spoof, Silent Night of the Lambs, which opens November 27th and runs through December 19th, 2009.

Susan Clement-Toberer, artistic director of the BLUEBARN Theatre, announced today that the theatre will once again team with the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging to raise awareness of the needs of the elderly this holiday season.

BLUEBARN Theatre is holding auditions for its 21st season-opener, the chilling Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, a new adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher. Audition dates are Sunday, July 19 from 4pm to 6pm and Monday, July 20 from 6pm to 8pm. Auditions will be held at the Downtown Space, 614 S. 11th St. Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script.

Due to poplar demand, the BLUEBARN Theatre will add two additional performances of REEFER MADNESS - the Musical! The added shows will run Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 for adults; and $20 for students, TAG members, seniors 65+, and groups of 10 or more. Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, July 5 at 6 p.m. There will be no show on July 4. To help celebrate our 20th season, BLUEBARN THEATRE will revive our 2001 award-winning play, Wit, which opens March 19 and runs through April 11, 2009. BLUEBARN founding member, Kevin Lawler, returns to direct the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, with Phyllis Doughman recreating the role that won her rave reviews, as well as a Theatre Arts Guild Award for Best Actress. The BLUEBARN's 2008 production will also feature local theatre veterans, Melissa Jarecke, Mary Kelly, Benjamin Beck, Paul Schneider, Jennifer McGill, Chris Elston, Eric Grant-Leanna, and Danielle Smith.
