This pivotal film marked the first time that a Hindi film opened the festival since 1997, the inaugural year of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

This year, the Jio MAMI 17th Mumbai Film Festival With Star India introduces the Movie Mela - a one-day celebration of cinema. Today, October 31st, when delegates of the festival walk into Mehboob Studio, they will enter a different world - a world of movie characters, movie merchandising and above all, movie conversations.

Disney India brings the timeless classic Beauty and the Beast to the Indian stage for the first time ever.
