Writer/actress/cabaret performer Shelly Goldstein is very popular worldwide and is in a constant state of motion. In our interview she talks about her work and how she cannot live without it. Not a moment passes without a sprinkling of her extraordinary humor.
First, tell our readers about your background. How did you get interested in comedy and then musical cabaret?
Joyce Breach may be 'under the radar' to some audiences but to the sophisticated and musically astute Cabaret connoisseurs in the East Side supper club Beach Cafe last night she is always someone to be seen (and heard). It was a magical night of great standards and seldom heard treasures of the American Songbook sung by a consummate artist. With pianist/singer Billy Stritch on the piano bench it was an evening that harked back to the Golden Age of New York City elegant night life.
A brand new Yamaha C7 Concert Grand Piano was delivered to Birdland yesterday and to start off it's residency in it's new home The Broadway at Birdland Series presented Piano Men.
The fourth LONDON FESTIVAL OF CABARET (LFoC) this year takes place from April 22 - May 8 and once again will be bringing the capital alive with the sound of sung cabaret and musical theatre shows.
