The audiences are completely kooky about "THE ADDAMS FAMILY" at Steps Off Broadway in Bellingham. This restaging of the hit Broadway musical, based on Charles Addams macabre family, offers an evening of surprising hilarity, strong vocal performances and very inventive staging. Superbly directed by Michael La Fleur, the show flies by at the speed of a broomstick, with all of the beloved charters brought to life by a stellar cast.

The touring and original Broadway productions, which played Los Angeles only once at the Pantages, in 2005 were gloriously directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Randy Skinner, who turned the second act opener 'I Love a Piano' into one of the most inventive & lively tap sequences ever. Now on stage at the Norris Theatre in Palos Verdes the local company has created a fresh sparkling production with even direction from Randy Brenner and zestful tap choreography from Kami Seymour. On Sunday June 30 I went to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal to see Polly Seale do her one woman show, Cougar Mama!, The Sensual Evolution Revolution. Before I get to Ms. Seale, I would like to say that I 'discovered' a new appetizer (or side) to their tasty hamburgers, and that treat is the grilled brussel sprouts, with bacon, feta, and lots of other spices... a delightful taste treat that I never had before. And now for another taste treat!
