Nick Lenz BIO

Nick was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a very Italian home rooting for the Steelers but only so he could perform in the living room at half-time! Nick comes from a long lineage of sportsmen but he quickly realized sports weren’t his thing when he was on the local sports club’s baseball team where he would cartwheel in the outfield when he got bored ( which seemed to be pretty often! ). In an attempt to put his cartwheeling to some good use he started classes at Stage Right! School for the Performing Arts and The Richard E. Rauh Conservatory at Pittsburgh Musical Theater where he trained, performed, discovered, and cultivated his deep passion for performing and musical theatre.

In 2013 Nick was accepted into the B.F.A. Musical Theatre Class of 2017 at Shenandoah Conservatory where he has performed in several main stage productions. Some of his favorites include: Illyria, All Shook Up, City of Angels, and the collegiate premiere of Green Day’s American Idiot! Nick is also the Treasurer and proud Brother of ShenCo’s Chapter of Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society.

When he isn't in the theater, Nick enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, jamming on the piano or guitar, and spending time outdoors!

BWW Interview: Shenandoah University's Four Leading Guys & Dolls

Winchester, Virginia's very own Shenandoah Conservatory's production of Guys and Dolls runs this weekend only, from Friday, February 24th through Sunday, February 27th in the Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre on the campus of Shenandoah University. The boisterous and witty musical is led by Carolyn Coulson (Director), with Rick Edinger (Music Direction), and Jacob Brent (Choreography). I was lucky enough to sit down with four of the show's leading guys and dolls: Taylor Bloom (Sky Masterson), Adia J Seckel (Sarah Brown), Stevie Bovo (Nathan Detroit), and Freya Falkenstein (Miss Adelaide) and hear about their personal experiences working on the Shenandoah production.
