Act Too Players to Perform Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID JR, ANYTHING GOES, and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, 1/17-24


The Act Too Players (ATP), Williamson County's premier training program for all youths interested in the performing arts will take the stage in January with the mounting of three musical productions: Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID JR, ANYTHING GOES, and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. The productions will run from January 17th through January 24th at the historic Franklin Theatre located in Downtown Franklin, Tennessee.

SCROOGE THE MUSICAL Opens 12/6 at Boiler Room Theatre


The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT), Williamson County's original and longest-running professional theatre company, is excited to announce that it will stage Leslie Brisscue's Scrooge the Musical featuring a classic score and everyone's favorite holiday skinflint. This charming musical will have audiences singing each night as they leave the theatre. This production will run from December 6th until December 22nd with shows on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays.

Boiler Room Theatre Stages FLOYD COLLINS, Now thru 5/4


The Boiler Room Theatre, Williamson County's original and longest-running professional theatre company, will stage acclaimed American musical, Floyd Collins. The production will run from tonight, April 19th through May 4th at the theatre's iconic namesake venue in the historic Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd., Building Six, in Franklin, Tennessee.

Shows are opening and closing all over Tennessee this summer and theater companies are offering up all manner of fun and games, which means there's all sorts of foolishness going on backstage during intermission. Among the best attended and best reviewed productions of 2012 is Boiler Room Theatre's next to normal (which closes tonight, June 16), directed by Jamey Green and featuring a cast that includes Megan Murphy Chambers, Mike Baum, Kevin Mead, Paige Brouillette, Jordan Ravellette and Ben Van Diepen.

Boiler Room Theatre debuts its most eagerly anticipated production of the 2012 season next week with Next To Normal, the groundbreaking 2009 Tony Award-winning musical, starring Nashville stage favorite Megan Murphy Chambers as Diana, a suburban wife and mother who contends with her worsening bipolar disorder while her family struggles to take care of one another.

Actor Scott Rice unveils new production company with IT'S ONLY LIFE


Nashville actor Scott Rice's new production company, Falling Frog Creations, presents John Bucchino's It's Only Life in celebration of Rice's birthday, at Street Theatre Company, 1933 Elm Hill Pike, October 7-9. While this cabaret retrospective of the music of composer John Bucchino is the inaugural production of this new production company, it also coincides with the birthday celebration of its founder, Rice. Joining Rice onstage will be Megan Chambers, Tyson Laemmel and Olivia Skurka. Rollie Mains serves as musical director and accompanist.
