The completely original show composed of more than a dozen scenes explored the eternal question of What is love, anyway? While there may not be one correct answer, the heartfelt theme proved that shame goes away the more we talk and communicate the truth of our own experience with each other. As I listened to characters from all walks of life share their touching, quirky and often hilarious personal stories of our universal need for human connection, how we go about finding that one great love or one-night stand differed greatly from person to person.

Sex, Addiction & Love in the 21st Century, the brand-new salon show from Jewish Women's Theatre (JWT), originally scheduled to open at The Braid in Santa Monica in March, will be available for three nights only via Zoom, beginning June 27.

And understand that your definition of this elemental mystery just might change after seeing Sex, Addiction & Love in the 21st Century, the new salon show from Jewish Women's Theatre (JWT) opening at The Braid in Santa Monica on March 14 and traveling across LA until March 24, with a special stop at the dnj Gallery to view how two Jewish women photographers capture love's magic.

Opera Ithaca has announced that it has been awarded a $45,000 grant over two years from the New York State Council on the Arts and Regional Economic Development Council to amplify and diversify the Apprentice Artist Program. The company is looking forward to welcoming its first class in the revised program starting with the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

Opera Ithaca announced today its 2019 - 2020 Season, including three operas and the return of The Edward M. Murray International Competition of Voice. Though he has been performing for over two decades, this solo show marked a first for him: a career show, as he put it. All these things that, as he said, makes it possible to 'actually do creative development.'

Opera Ithaca presents Puccini's Tosca February 16at 7:00pm in Hamblin Hall at Ithaca's Community School of Music and Arts. Opera Ithaca's cast of Tosca features Megan Nielson in the title role, Italian-born tenor and film and tv actor, Paolo Buffagni, as Cavaradossi, Zachary James as Scarpia, Jake Stamatis as Angelotti, Benno Ressa as The Sacristan, Andrew Hudson-Sabens as Spoletta, Nathan Murphy as Sciarrone and Rachel Silverstein as Shepard Boy.

Opera Ithaca presents the regional premiere of Bully Pulpit, a 20 minute English-language opera electronica from composer Kristin Hevner and librettist Royce Vavrek.

Opera Ithaca presents their 3rd Annual New Year's Eve Gala featuring Gilbert and Sullivan's, The Pirates of Penzance, in a gala production at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca on December 31st with a special additional concert performance at the Smith Opera House in Geneva, New York on December 30th.
