Casting has been announced for Alan Ayckbourn's latest play, Family Album, at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre this autumn.

A special fundraising event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alan Ayckbourn's Absurd Person Singular will take place at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre later this month.  

59E59 Theaters is thrilled welcome to Brits Off Broadway the US premiere of CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, written by Torben Betts and directed by Alastair Whatley. Produced by Original Theatre Company, Ghost Light Theatre & Eilene Davidson, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN begins performances on Thursday, April 25 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 25.

59E59 Theaters announce the line-up of shows for 2019's Brits Off Broadway, the critically acclaimed festival dedicated to featuring the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City. Brits Off Broadway begins on Tuesday, April 16 and runs through Sunday, June 30.

Jasmyn Banks and Tom England will join the previously announced Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag in the 2019 national tour of Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, beginning on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. This will be followed by an off-Broadway season in New York Spring 2019. There will be a national press night at Cambridge Arts Theatre on Tuesday 29 January 2019.

Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, was staged earlier this year on tour and at Park Theatre, London, under the title Monogamy, starring Janie Dee. Betts and his producers, Original Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Alastair Whatley, have reworked the play and, with a new cast led by Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag (further casting to be announced), will begin a new national tour on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. NST Associate Director Blanche McIntyre directs Lydia Bewley, best known for The Inbetweeners, Plebs and E4's comedy Drifters, Elizabeth Boag, Anna Fordham, Lisa Kerr, Anne Odeke and Alicia Mckenzie. The production, in association with Oxford Playhouse, sees some of the UK's most influential female voices, Wendy Cope, Jenny Eclair, Suhayla El-Bushra, Natalie Haynes, Shappi Khorsandi, Jess Phillips MP and Brona C Titley, come together to write this musical comedy based on the Greek classic, The Assemblywomen. The production opens on 13 September at NST City, with previews from 6 September and runs until 29 September. It will then run at Oxford Playhouse from 3 - 6 October.
