Variety reports that contemporary French filmmaker Claire Denis will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement award next month at the 2013 Stockholm film festival. Denis will join past honorees Jean-Luc Godard and Quentin Tarantino. She is the first woman to receive the award.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for Open Roads: New Italian Cinema, which will take place from June 6-12, 2013. This year's lineup includes impressive debuts, a return of favorite filmmakers as well as several award winners.
