This summer, local Nevada County stages come to the small screen with 'The Summit' - a nine episode filmed anthology series of performances by Nevada County actors, singers, musicians, aerialists, and dancers.

In 2020, Sierra Stages presents its 12th season of quality local theater in Grass Valley and Nevada City with three diverse offerings: a?oeBlithe Spirita?? by Noël Coward, a?oeSweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Streeta?? by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler, and a?oeEscaped Alonea?? by Caryl Churchill.

This summer, Sierra Stages brings the legendary musical "Cabaret" to Nevada City with an all-local Nevada County production playing from July 11 through August 3 at the historic Nevada Theatre. With a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, this musical masterpiece marks the 11th annual summer musical presented by Sierra Stages. "Cabaret" is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

In 2019, Sierra Stages begins its second decade of presenting quality local theater in Grass Valley and Nevada City with three provocative shows: The legendary musical "Cabaret", the black comedy "Hand to God", and the intimate musical revue "You're Gonna Love Tomorrow: A Stephen Sondheim Evening".

Sierra Stages kicks-off its 2018 season with the inspired and zany musical comedy "A New Brain" by William Finn and James Lapine for a three-weekend run from March 1 -17 at the historic Nevada Theatre, 401 Broad Street, Nevada City.

2018 marks the 10th Anniversary Season of Sierra Stages, a nonprofit community theatre in western Nevada County (Grass Valley and Nevada City). The 10th Anniversary Season is a celebration of heart, music, laughter and family, and includes two musicals and one classic American comedy: The zany and heartbreaking musical A New Brain by William Finn and James Lapine, the enchanting new musical version of Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach by Timothy Allen McDonald and the songwriting team of Ben Pasek and Justin Paul, and the classic and enduring American stage comedy You Can't Take It With You by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman.
