Playwrights to Showcase A COLLECTION OF ONE ACT PLAYS


The Local Playwrights Showcase tradition continues in June and this is a unique production that includes numerous original one act plays performed by talented local actors. Don't miss this fun event! The Players Guild of Leonia is thrilled to be presenting its Playwrights Showcase series, a collection of short one-act plays written by 'local' playwrights. 

Stephanie Riso's THE STORM Concludes MTAP's First Season of Hot Metal Musicals Incubator Readings


MTAP's Hot Metal Musicals Incubator presents its third installment of new musical theatre work-in-development with a public reading of The Storm with book, lyrics and music by Stephanie Riso. This free reading, featuring a cast of 15 and directed by Pittsburgh CLO's producing director Mark Fleischer, will be held on Sunday, January 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pittsburgh CLO's Charles Gray Auditorium, 130 CLO Academy Way in downtown Pittsburgh. MTAP's Hot Metal Musicals Incubator readings are being presented with the extensive cooperation and support of the Pittsburgh CLO.

Producers Al Corley ('Dynasty') and Marty Kaplan have announced the world premiere of PHALARIS'S BULL: SOLVING THE RIDDLE OF THE GREAT BIG WORLD, conceived and performed by Steven Friedman and directed by David Schweizer, will play a strictly limited 5 week engagement from tonight, December 12, 2015 to January 16, 2016 at The Beckett Theater at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street.

Just in time for Mother's Day weekend, former Arizona Republic columnist Kathleen Buckstaff returns to Theatre Artists Studio for a very special event. Today, May 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., The Studio will host a special Book Signing and Champagne Reception to introduce Ms. Buckstaff's new book, In The Tiffany Box, A Memoir.
