Auditions for play Hollywood and Hyde at The Mix Studio Theater
Ypsilanti- Emergent Arts will hold auditions for Hollywood and Hyde by Tim Henning on Saturday, September 6 at 4pm and Sunday, September 7 at 4pm at The Mix Studio Theater, 8 N. Washington St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197. Auditions will be by cold reading from the script. Actors will be seen in the order they arrive. Hollywood And Hyde, inspired by The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, is a dark comedy in which Henry Jekyll is an out-of-work washed up Hollywood actor, still clinging to hope. Embarrassed by his name, he has had to endure years of jokes and funny looks. But when a film based on Jekyll And Hyde is auditioning, he puts on his game face and applies. Then people start dying, and he begins to wonder what the truth might be.
Parts are available for 6 men ages 20 and up, and one woman, teenager to young adult.
