SYNOPSIS:
An explosive movie musical bursts onto the stage with exhilarating results. A boy and his mother move from the big city to a small farming town and find a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. The rockin' rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score is augmented with new songs. Footloose will transport audiences back to the eighties with their favorite nostalgic songs such as Holding on for a Hero, Almost Paradise and of course the title song, Footloose.
