Brief Synopsis:
When David finds pretty Penelope robbing his apartment, he decides he must reform her. His fiancée is not particularly enthusiastic about the idea, the police just want to find his neighbor’s missing jewels, and Penelope decides she just wants David!

Roles: 5 men, 3 women

David Warren - 20s-30s. A rather useless young man with no real skills who happens to live in a nice apartment due to a substantial allowance from his uncle. He is a kind person and tends to think the best of people.

Wilkinson - 30s+. David’s servant, he has a very dry sense of humor and is a bit cynical.

Penelope Shawn - early 20s. Talkative, pretty, and sweet. Seemingly innocent yet cunning, she is used to taking what she wants. She might have a slight Irish accent.

Det. Sgt. Pidgeon - 40s+. A policeman who is just trying to do his job.

Henry Shawn - 40s+. Penelope’s father, he is an ultra-respectable man of sedate bearing. Irish.

Helen Chandler - 20s. David’s fiancée, she is rich and somewhat spoiled, and very suspicious of Penelope.

Lady Warren - 40s+. David’s mother, she is a smart woman with a sophisticated manner, although she’s more addicted to trivialities than the major issues of life.

Sir George Martin - late 40s+. David’s uncle, and the source of his income. Wants David to make something of himself.

Other than Henry Shawn, who is Irish, all characters are British.
