AspenDream Productions, CT’s longest running dinner theatre company will hold auditions for adults 18+ of all ethnic backgrounds for its 2015 Performing Company. Rehearsals begin in March 2015 with performances in April, July, October, December and intermittently throughout the year.
All company roles are open for audition. The theater is looking for an ensemble of performers – males and females of all ages (18 to 80) from ingénues to character actors for their various shows. Consistency and the ability to work with as team are a must. Singing is a plus. Actors are paid for each performance after they are trained but rehearsal time is unpaid. Must have reliable transportation.
Inaugurated in 1997, by director/producer Janice Luise-Lutkus, AspenDream Productions is well-known for their innovative musical comedy wedding and murder mystery performances that break the forth wall. The performing company has travelled throughout CT and Western MA with their hilarious, unique shows.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, October 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with callbacks if necessary. Rehearsals will be held on Sunday’s from 4 -7 p.m. beginning March 15, 2015 from 7-10 p.m. if you are cast in the April show. Actors should prepare a short comedic monologue, not to exceed 3 minutes. If you are a singer prepare 16 bars of a song, sung a Capella. There will not be an accompanist present. You may also bring a music CD. Actors should also bring a current photo and resume to the audition. You must have experience in theatre to apply.
We are also looking for experienced Stage Managers to supervise/oversee the cast and for our upcoming Murder Mystery Dinner shows and corporate events. We seek local Stage Managers with intelligent, super-organized, confident, ability to multi-task.
