CHOICES - Des Moines Community Playhouse
Auditions for the World Premiere of the latest comedy from Karen Schaeffer, Choices, will be held at the Des Moines Community Playhouse on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at 6:30 PM. All auditions are open to the public; no one is pre-cast. Questions about auditions should be directed to Robin Spahr,
515-974-5365.

Choices contains feature roles for 3 men and 3 women, ages 25 and up. Where race, ethnicity, gender, age, or other personal differentiations are not specified by the script, the Playhouse casts plays without regard to these attributes, and actively encourages participation by all members of the community. Choices is directed by John Viars.

Liz is a recent widow with a bad dating track record, so her spunky friends each set her up with a different guy. In the hilarious intrigue that follows, Liz finds out just how difficult making choices can be. The women are smart and the humor is sharp in the hilarious script by the author of Girls' Weekend, a hit in the Playhouse's 2014-15 Season.

The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
