ROLES

A Christmas Story, The Musical

Rehearsals begin October 20, 2014, at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

Performances run November 25-December 31, 2014.

RALPHIE: Age 9-12 (to play 9, going on 10). Must be on the short side, possibly a bit pudgy; a regular kid – cute but not handsome, winsome but not precious. He wouldn’t be lost in a crowd, but he wouldn’t stand out either. Bright, but not precocious; a kid you wouldn’t mind living next door to. Seeking a young kid who is comfortable on stage but real. VOICE: Boy’s unchanged voice. High belter, low F# to high D.

RANDY: Age 8-9. Ralphie’s younger brother. Smaller than Ralphie; the cuter the better. Can be a bit awkward and offbeat; admires his big brother, Ralphie but won’t admit it. Seeking a young kid who is comfortable on stage but real. VOICE: Boy’s unchanged voice. High belter, low F# to high C#.

Visit
www.5thavenue.org/kidsauditions for additional roles including Scut Farcus, Flick Schwartz, Grover Dill, Mary Beth, Esther Jane and more.

More about A Christmas Story, The Musical

This holiday season, The 5th Avenue Theatre takes you to 1939 Indiana, where a bespectacled boy named Ralphie has only one wish for Christmas—a Red Ryder BB Gun. A kooky leg lamp, a cranky department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas dream. A Christmas Story, The Musical is holiday entertainment with delicious wit and a heart of gold. Back from two sensational sold out seasons in New York City, A Christmas Story, The Musical returns home to The 5th Avenue Theatre!
