Fahmi Alqhai, born in Seville in 1976, is one of the brightest performers of her generation. Born to a Syrian father and a Palestinian mother, he spent much of his youth in Syria. He studied viola da gamba by himself and sees himself admitted in 1994 in the class of Ventura Rico Conservatory Manuel Castillo in Seville. He continued his studies with Paolo Pandolgo at the Schola Cantorum and with Vittorio Ghielmi Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano. As a soloist and ensemble member, it occurs in the world with "Hespèrion XXI (Jordi Savall)," Al Ayre Español "(Eduardo López Banzo)," It Suonar Talking "(Vittorio Ghielmi)," Lyra Orphenica "(José Miguel Moreno), or the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne (Michel Corboz), the Sinfónica de Galicia (Frans Brüggen) or Seville Baroque Orchestra. Fahmi Alqhai is the founder and musical director of "Accademia del Piacere", a music ensembles most famous of Spain, specializing in music of the 17th century. He is also the founder of "More Hispano" Vicente Parrilla.
