HPU's Paul and Vi Loo Theater to Present HERITAGE, 4/4-27
HPU's Paul and Vi Loo Theater presents Heritage by P.J. Barry, directed by Joyce Maltby and running April 4 through April 27, 2014.
An ensemble play, "Heritage" tells the story of Abraham Lincoln in a very different light. Spanning three generations, we discover the strength of character of the women and men who shaped the life of our sixteenth President, and the unmistakable impression that they each left upon his life and legacy. Narrated throughout by Jim Tharp, this talented cast of eight ensemble actors play dozens of characters, taking us on a journey into America's history. While he never appears in the play, Lincoln is a constant presence as we follow his story from the young Lucy Hanks, his maternal grandmother, to his marriage to Mary Todd and his life in the White House.
