Breakdown

Robbie Hart: Male, 25-35, Rock tenor. A musician and Lead Singer for a trio that plays at weddings - very charasmatic yet insecure with "puppy dog" appeal. Strong, focused and diverse actor. Great comic timing. Ability to play guitar.

Julia Sullivan: Female, 25-35, Soprano with belt. Robbie's friend, a sweet and understanding, yet naïve waitress at a catering firm. Comedic ingenue. Engaged to Glen but soon loves Robbie.

Glen Guglia: Male, 30-40, Baritone. A calculating, money-loving Wall Street type. Tall, good looking, arrogant and wealthy. Engaged to Julia. Movement ability preffered.

Linda: Female, 25-35, Rock Belt. Robbie's trashy, oversexed girlfriend who leaves him at the altar. Pat Benatar type. Strong dance ability.

Holly: Female, 25-35, Pop Belt. Julia's bubbly, uninhibited, and loveable cousin. Comic timing a must. Madonna type. Strong dance ability.

Sammy: Male,30-40, Robbie's friend and trio bass guitarist. Not terribly bright but well-meaning and supportive. A Man's Man.

George: Male, 25-35, Strong falsetto. Robbie's flamboyantly gay, eccentric friend and fellow trio member. Plays keyboard. Boy George type.

Rosie: Female, 55-70, Robbie's feisty Grandmother. Must have great comic timing and a singing voice that suits both musical theatre and Rap. Sweet and loveable, but has no shame. Actress can be made to look age relevant if necessary.

Ensemble: Consists of actor/singer/dancers to fill many minor roles that include Julia's mom and Impersonators of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Mr. T., Tina Turner, Imelda Marcos, Cyndi Lauper, and Billy Idol. All must be great dancers/movers and MUST attend appropriate dancer call on the evening of Monday May 9. Please wear appropriate dance attire: Men in sneakers and Ladies in character heels to the dance call.
