Seeking:

Male singers for the Quartet and a teenage-looking singers and dancers for the ensemble and special chorus parts.

The Quartet (Ewart Dunlop, Oliver Hix, Jacey Squires, Olin Britt):

(30s/40s). A barbershop quartet with exquisite harmony skills...the harmony ends anytime they stop singing though as they become our bickering school board of prickly personalities. All need to be excellent singers with advanced barbershop skills, fun and distinct comic actors, and good dancers as the quartet will be the adult dancing corps in every production number.

Zaneeta Shinn:

(18+ to play 16): the Mayor's bouncy, bubbly and giggly teenage daughter...tons of personality...an excellent singer and a star dancer (she and Tommy will lead all teen dance numbers).

Tommy Djilas:

(18+ to play 16): the town “badboy” (by 1912 small town Iowa standards anyway)...a highly appealing burst of sexy teenage energy...has it bad for the Mayor's daughter...an excellent actor who can play teenager without cloying, excellent singer, and a virtuoso solo dancer.

Ensemble Teen Girls:

(18+ to play 14-16) Perky, fun, and petite...2 excellent singers, and amazing dancers to play Zaneeta's pals...energetic, innocent, honest, and believable as adolescents

Ensemble Teen Boys:

(18+ to play 15-18) The not so dangerous members of Tommy's “gang” ...tons of teenage energy and raging hormones...just now figuring out that girls are not only for teasing...2 excellent singers and highly skilled athletic dancers...tumbling skills a big plus...good partner dancers for lifts...will also double as Traveling Salesmen in opening scene so need to read as believable adults as well
