Seeking
Strong singers, actors, and dancers for ALL ADULT ROLES in A CHRISTMAS STORY, CAROUSEL, SOMETHING ROTTEN, & GREASE.

Preparation
Please prepare a verse and a chorus of one contemporary musical theatre song and a verse and a chorus of one Golden Age musical theatre song. Please bring your own sheet music in correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

Breakdown

A CHRISTMAS STORY
5 Female Ensemble/6 Male Ensemble, strong singers and dancers

CAROUSEL
Billy: Baritone. Barker at the Carousel. Attractive and rugged. Has a good heart, but violent with those he loves.

Julie: Soprano. A very shy but headstrong young woman. Marries Billy.

Carrie: Alto. Julie's best friend. Conventional. Marries Enoch Snow.

Enoch Snow: Tenor. A successful fisherman. Conventional.

Nettie Fowler: Mezzo. Julie's older and wiser cousin. Runs a local eating establishment and looks out for Julie.

Jigger Craigin: Baritone. A sailor on a whaling ship. Involved with criminal activity.

Mrs. Mullin: Owns the Carousel. Upset with Billy's attraction to Julie. An attractive middle-age woman.

Louise: Billy & Julie's 16 year old daughter. Tormented by the kids in town because of Billy's past. Stars in ballet.

Mr. Bascombe: Strict owner of the local mill where Julie and Carrie work.

Starkeeper/Doctor Seldon: A heavenly figure. Helps to guide Billy.

Carnival Boy: Young man who attends school with Louise. Dancer in ballet.

Sandy Dumbrowski: Soprano. A3-F#5. New girl in town, sweet and wholesome. Transforms to sassy and sultry.

Betty Rizzo: Alto. A3-C5. Leader of the Pink Ladies. Tough, sarcastic, outspoken but vulnerable.

Frenchy: Alto. A3-D5. Good natured but not too bright. Fussy about her looks. Wants to be a beautician.

Marty: Alto. C4-C5. Pretty. Tries to be sophisticated.

Jan: Alto. A3-C5. Funny, loud, a compulsive eater. Pushy with the girls, shy with the boys.

Doody: Tenor. D4-A5. Youngest of the boys. Hero-worshipping towards the others.

Kenickie: Tenor. C4-F5. Second in command to Danny. Tough and surly.

Sonny: Baritone. G3-A5. Funny, Italian-American. Confident.

Roger: Tenor. D4-A5. Full of mischief. A clown.

Vince Fontaine: Tenor. A3-C5. A DJ and veteran Greaser. Slick.

Cha-Cha: Alto. C4-C5. A loud mouth. Great dancer. Wins the dance competition with Danny.

Eugene: Tenor. A3-E5. Valedictorian. Physically awkward and nerdy. Pompous but gullible.

Johnny Casino: Tenor. G4-E5. All-American Greaser. Student at Rydell. Energetic performer.

Miss Lynch: No-nonsense, loud, English teacher.

Patty Simcox: Alto. D4-A4. Cheerleader. Attractive, athletic, confident. Unpopular with the
Pink Ladies. Can twirl a baton.

Teen Angel: Tenor. E4-F5. Frenchy's suave and slick guardian angel who encourages her to stay in school.
