DAVID
Male. Mid-30s to mid-50s. Chef and family man. Warm and idealistic but capable of turning sour when the world doesn’t go his way. A traditionalist trying to keep his restaurant in business and his family together. The customer is not always right to David (especially when said customer demands hot sauce for his homemade terrine). Baritone / Tenor. Baritone or Bari-tenor.
CLAIRE
Female. Mid-30s to mid-50s. David’s wife. Former dancer who runs their restaurant. Former ballerina turned-wife-and-mother / restaurant manager. A multi-tasker who dreams of having a ballet studio while folding napkins and dealing with ever changing actor/waiter schedules. Beautiful and poised, she maintains the font of house at the restaurant. Practical and worried about the family’s future. Musical theater Mezzo Soprano bright mix head voice.
SERGIO
Male. Mid-30s to mid-50s. The world's most famous chef. David's nemesis. Charismatic sexy, self-assured, a bit of a bully but also a charmer. A showman. David’s former friend who chose a different ‘first class’ path. Wants to rekindle the lust he once had with Claire. Strong Baritone

Male teens, David & Claire’s 17 year old son. A good kid with normal Big Apple growing pains. Bari-tenor - contemporary sound.
