Breakdown

THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG

-VERNON GERSH: Comedic Actor who sings well mid to late 30s. Quirky romantic leading man. Celebrated songwriter, so piano skills a plus. Wryly intelligent, very buttoned-down, and privileged – but ultimately charming and charismatic. An all-around good guy.

-SONIA WALSK: Comedic Actress who sings very well late 20’s to mid 30’s. Quirky romantic leading lady. Open-hearted, eccentric, and quite bohemian -- a true 'free-spirit'. Very energetic, extremely lovable, with a unique and unforgettable personality

HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING

-J. PIERRPONT FINCH: Role is cast. Seeking an understudy who will double in the Ensemble. Boyish comedic Actor mid 20s who sings well. Charming and lovable.

-J. B. BIGGLEY: Mature comic Actor who sings mid 50s. Iconic President of a large Manhatan business firm. Fancies himself a ladies man, but easily manipulated. Bombastic with, unfortunately, only a moderate intelligence.

-BERT BRATT: Comic Actor who sings mid 40s. Upper-level Business Executive. Hides his natural neurosis behind a blanket of physical ticks, yet still instills a certain level of power in the workplace. Bass voice a plus.

-TWIMBLE/WOMPER: Comic Character Actor mid40s-50s who sings and moves well. As Twimble plays a milk-toast mailroom employee trying hard to go unnoticed. As Womper plays the bombastic blue collar Chairman of The Board.

-MILT GATCH: Comic Actor who sings late 30s-mid 40s. Mid-level Business Executive. Attractive and masculine. Considers himself a real ladies man – the ultimate letch. Appears in the 2nd Act as Toynbee.

-BUD FRUMP: Eccentric comic Actor mid to late 20s who sings and moves well. The comic villain of the play. Wildly deceitful, but always with a wink and a smile. A real mama’s boy.

-ROSEMARY PILKINGTON: Quirky, lovable leading lady mid 20s-early 30s who sings and moves well. A modern Mary Tyler Moore type – eager, energetic, warm.
Smitty: Comedic Actress mid 20s-early 30s who sings and moves well. The proverbial sassy 'best friend'. Smart and business-like.

-MISS JONES: Accomplished Actress/Singer mid 40s. The proverbial Boss’s Secretary. No-nonsense and a bit intimidating. Trained Soprano with a killer 'Ella Fitzgerald' type facility with jazz-scat singing.

-HEDY LA RUE: Comedic Actress/Singer mid 30s. The perfect female specimen with the mind and demeanor of a Copacabana cigarette girl. Should move very well.
