Breakdown

Sunny:

Female. African-American. Seeking adult actress 18+ to play age 14 – her name

describes her personality, effervescent, curious and full of wonder, musical, smart but

very naïve. A true innocent. Not yet fully developed like the other girls in her class.

Must know how to play the guitar.

Kaleb:

Male. African-American. Seeking adult actor 18+ to play age 14 – Angry, a budding

radical, intellectual, Sunny’s best friend. Slightly awkward and/or geeky. Struggling to

figure out where he fits in the world.

Steven

Male. African-American. Seeking adult actor 18+ to play age 15 – quiet, physically

mature and exudes a sexual energy beyond his years, good-looking, the guy everyone

wants. Must be able to play the guitar.

Mrs. Hedges / Helena

Actor 18+ to play Mid 30s / Age 12. Caucasian, Polish emigrant, emotionally scarred,

WWII survivor. Polish dialect

The Conductors:

18+. Must be versatile enough and have the range to play A British Rail Conductor, A

Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters Conductor, An El Train Conductor, Sunny’s Father

and An Art Institute Guide; requires working class British accent and German accent.
