Equity actors for various roles. Especially seeking theater artists who would like to join a strong existing ensemble company, with a deep commitment to mentorship. This is the 22nd season of Free Shakespeare in the Park.
All roles available. Elm Shakespeare Company is committed to a creating a cast which reflects the wide diversity of its New Haven community.
PREPARATION
Prepare 2 contrasting Shakespeare monologues, no more than 24 lines of verse (or 90 seconds of prose), if you have an instrument
or would like to sing 30 seconds (a cappella), you may prepare that as well. Please bring 2 pictures and resume stapled together. Audition appointments will be in 1 hour time slots with 6-8 other actors. All actors will have time to deliver their audition monologue in addition to developing chemistry with the other actors. We audition in groups because the audience-actor connection is at the core of what our theater company represents and it allows actors an opportunity to showcase these skills.
