Production/Stage Manager positions:
The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre is seeking a dynamic, experienced Production Stage Manager, to collaborate closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the smooth running of all production elements for the 2015/2016 season. If the candidate is an AEA member, then duties as the equity stage manager for our union productions will be included. This is a part-time position for this season with the possibility of full-time work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination of all technical/production elements
A. 1. Schedule, create agenda, and run Production Meetings.
a. Take minutes at Production Meetings.
b. Distribute notes/minutes from Meetings to anyone not present

2. Along with Artistic/Executive Director and Managing Director, create
Production Budget.
a. Price out all aspects of production design.
b. Track production expenses.
c. Keep designs within budget limits by offering edits or cost¬saving options when available

3. Create Production Schedule
a. Along with Directors, Designers, and Stage Management, create Tech Week Schedule
b. Suggest deadlines for production decisions (designs, builds, load¬ins, etc) and ensure they're met to make the stage available as early as possible for rehearsals

B. Staffing
1. Assist in the interviewing/hiring of the following positions: AEA Stage Manager, Run Crew, Wardrobe, Overhire Carpenters/Electricians

C. Stage Management

D. If person hired is non-Equity, he/she will serve as Production Assistant during Mainstage season and Stage Manager for non-Equity performances

E. Arranging travel and accommodations for out-of-town artists

F. Auditions/Casting

Starting date: Open until filled.

Salary: Competitive.
