Seeking
Actors with excellent singing skills. Please see Character Breakdowns for details. Local hire only; we are unable to provide housing and transportation.

Preparation
Please prepare one monologue (preferably comic), and one or two 32-bar excerpt(s) of any song style
that showcases the high and low notes of the character range.

Max, 7 years old. Seeking actor age 8-11. Max has autism. Big eyes, angelic, uncoordinated, jumps and flaps, is an escape artist, an obsessive compulsive, extremely bright, trapped behind the wall of his disorder. Boy soprano. C4 /

Mom, 30-ish. Trying not to buckle under the weight of her stresses, searching for her son, her lost self, and her offcourse marriage. Great sense of humor. Soprano. A3 / G5 (optional A5)

Dad, 30-ish. Bewildered at the life he finds himself in, trying to do right, searching for his son, his lost self, and his offcourse marriage. Great sense of humor. High baritone/tenor. A2 / G4

Homunculus “Munc” Jones, 35-50, a gardener, a philosopher, a spirit-guide. The guy with the leaf blower. Wise, gentle, practical, magical. Unusual gravitas. Baritone. B2 / F#4

Fin, a girl, a little older than Max. Seeking actor 16-28. Bossy, powerful, then sweet and lyrical. A misunderstood bully who needs a friend. Soprano. Bb3 / F#5
