CURT SEAMAN: 60s, Caucasian man. Curt is a business man. He is driven, he is forcefull, he is the only voice in the room that matters. However, he is deeply insecure and needs approval and reasurance from those around him.

FLORIAN KASSAR: 50s+, vaguely European. Florian is a world famous tailor, businessman, and observer of greatness. He is able to navigate a world of egos and tempers without a sweat.

JARED FARIS: 30s, Caucasian man. Jared is Curt's campaign manager. He is smart, practical and career -minded. He sincerely wants to run a smart, successful campaign, but is constantly thwarted by Curt.

MENDI TEHRANI: 20s, Persian man. Mehdi is Florian's assistant. He is a smart, practical, Muslim man who stands against everything that Curt expouses in his campaign. Although, he deeply respects Florian, he is angry at his mentor for his relationship with the politian.

TWANY OAKES: 40s, Caucasian woman. Twany is Curt's current wife. She is beautiful in the artifical way, but truly smart and compassionate. Her patience is running out with Curt's campaign.

GOOD GRIEF
Written by Ngozi Anyanwu
Directed by Patricia McGregor
1/31/17 - 3/26/17

N/NKECHI: LATE 20S - EARLY 30S, African American woman. She is the heroine of the play and first generation Nigerian girl/woman/goddess. She is city born but raised in the suburbs of Bucks County and is very much a product of that in the way she speaks. She is a pre-med drop out because in her heart she knows has the lonely heart of an artist. A spunky force of nature.

MATTHEW JASON GEORGE aka MJG but always referred to as MJ: late 20s - early 30s African American man. MJ, the tragic hero of the play. He is a slacker, a thinker and a dreamer. A James Dean of the millennium. He very well may also have the heart of an artist but will not live long enough to fully realize his potential. The bad boy who’s not all that bad. The kind of guy that your parents wanted you nowhere near.

BRO: early 30s, African American man. Bro is N's big brother a wannabe ghetto philosopher, like N he is suburban raised but if you didn't know any better you'd think that he was raised in a completely different household. Their hears are the same but they're approches to life are very different.

PAPA: 50s plus, African American man. Papa is N’s father , a pragmatic Nigerian Igbo Man he moved to America to raise his kids here to become doctor, lawyers and nurses. They have not done what he’s said.

NENE: 50s African American woman: NeNe is a psych student, a nurse and N’s mother…in that order. She is also Nigerian/igbo woman. She desperately wants to understand her children.

JD: early 30s, Caucasian man. JD is the boy from up the street, very realistic. The boy that every parent wants for their kids. He’s a little Zach Morris and a little Dawson. That great mix of being privileged and popular, but also really good guy.

MJ's MOM/NEIGHBOR'S MOM: 50s African American woman. She is constantly in mourning. Her character acts as bearer of bad news to the characters of this world. Versatile, motherly actor.

JESS: late 20s woman, any ethnicity. Jess is a side character, a jump off, she's the not quite almost doesn't count chick.
