NOTE: The play takes place in rural, present day Ireland. Dialects will be used.

Tony Reilly: 70s. A wily old Irishman with sly eyes.

Aoife Muldoon: Early 70s. Their neighbor. In bad health, walks with a cane, and is ravaged with grief.

Greg: 50s. A career man living in Manhattan. Entering his empty nest years. Looking for a change.

by Ayad Akhtar. Dir: V Craig Heidenreich.

In Florida Rep’s ArtStage Studio Theatre.

Amir: 40. Of south Asian origin. A successful lawyer. Career driven though feels an obligation to his family and his former Muslim faith.

Abe: Early 20s. Of South Asian origin. But as American as American gets. Vibrant and endearing. Skinny jeans, high tops, and a hoodie are common staples of his wardrobe.

Isaac: Early 40s. White. smart, attractive. A curator at the Whitney.

Adolph Freitag: Late 40s. Soft body, hard mind. A pillar of the business community in 1939 Atlanta.

Sunny Freitag: Early 20s. Attractive and reserved.

Peachy Weil: Mid 20s. A young man visiting from Lake Charles. Self-important with bright red hair.

NIGHT AND DAY: A COLE PORTER REVUE

SEEKING: Musical theatre performers who can master various types and styles of songs across Cole Porter’s body of work. All vocal types sought. Seeking strong musicians, singers, and dancers.

Woman 1: 40s. Mezzo/belt. A glamorous leading lady.

Man 1: 40s. Baritone. A handsome leading man. Elegant and mysterious.

Woman 2: Late 20s/early 30s. Soprano/belt. An ingénue with a bit of an edge. A wise woman of the roaring 20s.

Man 2: Late 20s/early 30s. Young comic tenor.

Frank Foster: A businessman high up in his firm. In his 40s. Polite and proper.

Mary Featherstone: 30s. An unknowing accomplice in covering up an affair between her husband’s coworkers.

THE MIRACLE WORKER
by William Gibson. Dir: Robert Cacioppo.
1st reh: 1/23/18. Runs 2/13 – 3/07. Possible extension: 3/11.
In the Historic Arcade Theatre.

Helen Keller: Should appear between 8 and 11-years old. Unkempt, vivacious, pretty. She is blind, deaf, mute, and trapped in her own world. She is wild and unrestrained. This actor will need great discipline for intense physical and emotional scenes. Seeking a young actor with experience and training.

Annie Sullivan: Early-mid 20s. Irish dialect will be used. Helen’s teacher. A strong and driven young woman who is determined to connect Helen to the outside world. Lived a hard life and it drives her forward. She is a very forceful presence. The role is incredibly physically demanding. Combat experience is a plus.

Kate Keller: 30s-40s. A young gentlewoman with a sweet face. She is a kind and gentle person. Devoted mother and wife.

Aunt Ev: 40s-50s. A talkative and opinionated woman. Helen’s aunt.

James: Teens-early 20s. Helen’s half-brother. An indolent boy who has no sympathy for Helen and who does not view her as his mental equal because of her disability.

Viney: 50s-60s. African American woman and servant to the Keller family. Kind, cheerful, loving.

Book by Joe Masteroff. Music by John Kander. Lyrics by Fred Ebb. Dir: TBA.
1st reh: 2/27/18. Runs 3/20–4/11. Possible extension: 4/29. In the Historic Arcade Theatre.

Emcee: 30s and up. Master of Ceremonies in the Kit Kat Club. An androgynous, flamboyant, and magnetic presence. He is dark, sinister, vulgar, yet lovable, playful, filled with love of life, and has an all-knowing quality about him. Must be a strong singer and dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus, but not a must. Speaks with a German accent. Tenor.

Sally Bowles: Early-mid 20s. Mezzo with a strong belt. A British headliner at the Kit Kat Club. A strong willed woman away from home working as a singer and dancer. Strong-willed, quirky, independent, yet vulnerable. Must be a strong singer and dancer.

Clifford “Cliff” Bradshaw: Early-mid 20s. Tenor. An American writer looking for his voice in Berlin. Friendly, naive, kind. A bit conflicted. Should move well.

Fräulein Kost (doubles as Fritzie, a Kit Kat Girl): 20s-30s. Alto/Mezzo. A quick witted and sharp tongued woman with a big personality. Makes a living offering favors to sailors. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus.

Herr Schultz: 50s-60s. Tenor. A kind and gentle Jewish man. Runs a fruit shop in Berlin.

Kit Kat Girls

Rosie: 20s-30s. Non speaking. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Lulu: 20s-30s. Non speaking. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Frenchie (doubles as the Gorilla/dancer): 20s-30s. Non speaking. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Texas: 20s-30s. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Helga: 20s-30s. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Kit Kat Boys

Bobby: 20s-30s. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Victor: 20s-30s. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Hans (doubles as Rudy, a nonspeaking sailor): 20s-30s. Non speaking. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.

Herman (doubles as Max and a Customs Official): 20s-30s. Non speaking. Must be a strong dancer. Experience with musical instruments a plus but not necessary.
