Breakdown

Seeking:

Aaron
Male, late 20s- late 30s. Tenor. Jewish investment banker. He has never been on a blind date before. Out of his element, nervous, and trying way too hard. Charming and a little awkward.

Casey
Female, late 20s-late 30s. Great belt/mix voice. Daring, bold, and delightfully controversial - all of which is a defense mechanism. She works in an art gallery to “stay connected” but is too scared to launch her own photography career.

Man #1
Male 30s – 40s. Head waiter/Casey’s Father/Stoner Guy. Baritone. Strong comedic skills and a great voice. The waiters play a variety of characters from Aaron and Casey’s lives. HEAD WAITER, a career waiter, who dabbles with songwriting and performing on the side. CASEY's FATHER, a stereotype super-Christian, praising the Easter Bunny and denouncing Judaism. STONER GUY, an ex from Casey's past, cocky and neglectful.

Man #2
Male late 30s – 40s. Waiter/Reggie/Gabe/ British Artist. Tenor. Strong comedic skills and some sex appeal. The waiters play a variety of characters from Aaron and Casey’s lives: REGGIE, Casey’s over-imaginative best friend. GABE, the mega dude/womanizer. BRITISH ARTIST, a bad boy from Casey's past, cocky and neglectful.

Woman #1
Female late 20s – 40s. Waitress/Grandma Ida/ Lauren/ Allison/ Aaron’s Mother. Belt/mix with soprano. Strong comedic actress with a great voice, warmth and personality. The waiters play a variety of characters from Aaron and Casey’s lives: GRANDMA IDA, Aaron's dead grandmother, who feels strongly that her son should marry a Jewish woman. LAUREN, Casey’s sister who is trying to “fix” Casey so she too can get happily married. ALLISON, Aaron's ex-fiancé. Sexy, uptight, controlling, & manipulative.
