[GEORGE]
Male, early 40’s to mid 50’s, A successful writer with a sharp, dry sense of humor, intelligence, and charm. A recent widower, he is an introvert and struggling to cope with the death of his wife. Underneath the quick wit and banter, he is bottling up a deep well of sadness and grief.
[LEO]
Male, late 30s to mid 40s. George’s brother. A PR professional who plays fast and loose with his life. Animated, charismatic, charming, fast-talking, he is a want-to-be ladies man who is married but not monogamous. Likes to have a good time and doesn’t take life too seriously. Genuinely loves and cares for George and is trying to help him move on.
[JENNIE]
Female, 30s. A recently divorced actress. She is vibrant and smart with a sharp wit. Put together, practical and organized. She is a strong, funny, confident independent woman not looking for love until she meets George. Deeply caring, compassionate and nurturing.
[FAYE]
Female, 30s. Jennie’s best friend and confidante. She is a fellow actress in an unhappy marriage who wishes her life was different than it is. Quick witted, self-deprecating and fun. She lives vicariously through Jennie and loves playing the matchmaker.
