The estranged members of the white Lafayette family must return to Southern Arkansas and the family’s cluttered and crumbling former plantation home to settle the accounts of their recently deceased patriarch and sort through a hoarded lifetime of mementos and junk. While they deal with the usual grocery list of neglects, petty differences and stinging slights, the discovery of a gruesome relic, sends the family spiraling into a darker history of repressed memories and family secrets.
PLACE : Southeast Arkansas. Summer of 2011.
