RuPaul's Lingo will be returning to TV screens very soon. According to reports, the second season of the popular game show will be premiering on CBS on May 24 from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes. Subsequent episodes will air at that same time each Friday. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers can also view the episodes, either live or later on demand.
A music video for the new song 'What’s My Name (Red Version)' has debuted on DisneyMusicVEVO and is the first track to be released from the soundtrack. China Anne McClain reprises her popular “Descendants 2” anthem as Uma, the daughter of Ursula - alongside Kylie Cantrall who stars as Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts and the franchise’s newest Villain Kid (VK). The Shakespeare performer has taken on another literary legend! Actor and director Kenneth Branagh will be voicing the famed writer Charles Dickens in an upcoming faith-based feature called The King of Kings. Alongside Branagh, Uma Thurman will voice Dickens' wife Catherine and Roman Griffin Davis, known for playing the title role in Jojo Rabbit, will voice their son Walter.
According to multiple reports, Gabby's Dollhouse, the preschool show, will be recieving a feature film called Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie, which is due to release on September 26, 2025. Nine seasons of the show are currently available to stream on Netflix, with a tenth one on the way. The film will be a co-production from DreamWorks Animation and Universal.

The Mayfly, an animated short film by Tony Award-winning stage and screen icon Betty Buckley, who has created, written, and narrated the short, will screen at the 2024 Tribeca Festival June 5-16, 2024. The Mayfly is the story of Megalyn Mayfly, who goes against all expectations and dedicates her short life to music and dance. Her quest takes her from Central Park West to the Upper East Side's Carlyle Hotel where she dances her final opus at the elegant Cafe Carlyle. Animated traditionally in 2D, The Mayfly is a love letter to music and New York City.
Apple has revealed the trailer for the explosive documentary series Hollywood Con Queen, which explores the shocking story behind one of Hollywood’s biggest scams. The three-part docuseries will premiere on May 8, 2024, globally on Apple TV+. “Hollywood Con Queen” hails from Emmy winner Chris Smith and Library Films, the team behind the pop-culture phenomenon Tiger King. According to reports, The Thursday Letter Club, the upcoming film from Chris Columbus, has found a distributor. Netflix will partner with Steven Spielberg's company Amblin Entertainment on the film, which stars Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley. Filming will begin in the UK this June and end in September.
According to reports, the artist H. E. R. will be working with Oprah Winfrey on a new project about a young ballet dancer in Atlanta. The film will mark her second collaboration with Winfrey, following her role in 2023's The Color Purple, where she played the character of Squeak. Winfrey will produce with her company Harpo Films and H. E. R. is set to develop, produce, and star in the 20th Century Studios film.

According to reports, actors Sydney Lemmon and Romy Reiner have joined the cast of the upcoming fashion satire The Philosophy of Dress. The film is said to be 'part American Psycho and part Devil Wears Prada' which follows two young designers in the NYC fashion scene as they navigate the complexities of their friendship and ambition.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) have announced the date and honorees for its inaugural Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television. Several honorees are Broadway performers, including Nathan Lane, George Takei, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. The gala event will be hosted by actress, stand-up comedian, and writer Sherry Cola, a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and a barrier breaker as a queer Chinese-American immigrant woman in film, television and comedy.

Brian Tyree Henry, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the revival of Lobby Hero, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Few plot details about the upcoming film have been released, apart from its setting. It is reported to be set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977.
According to reports, Jennifer Aniston will be producing a reimagining of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 for 20th Century Studios. Aniston will be producing through her production company Echo Films, alongside co-founder Kristin Hahn. The script for the reimagining is being written by Diablo Cody, who previously scripted Juno, Jennifer's Body and the recent horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein.
